Love Concerts in the Park, Newcastle Days, or a morning walk on the trails? The Community Activities Commission is a big part of what makes those moments happen, and two seats are now open for residents ready to join the fun.
About the Commission
The Community Activities Commission is a seven-member volunteer group that works to make Newcastle a more connected and enjoyable place to live. Commissioners help plan community events, encourage volunteering, and look for ways to improve the parks and trails we all share. It’s a chance to bring your ideas to the table, meet neighbors who care about Newcastle, and see your work come to life around town.
Who Should Apply
You don’t need a background in event planning or parks to make a difference. Parents, trail users, longtime residents, newcomers, and anyone with enthusiasm for community life are encouraged to apply.
