About Special Events

The City of Newcastle hosts a variety of special events and programs throughout the year, designed to celebrate our vibrant community, rich heritage, and beautiful parks and trails. The largest celebrations take place in the summer, including Fireworks on the Lake, Concerts in the Park, and Newcastle Days, while events like the Lunar New Year Celebration and Pumpkins in the Parks provide fun ways to celebrate culture, holidays, and community throughout the year.

Round up your friends and family and set out on an all-ages scavenger hunt through city parks starting Tuesday, October 6. See how many you can spot before Halloween! To thwart crows, critters, and mischievous characters, we've hidden duplicate pumpkins. You can still solve the special phrase even if one goes missing.
