Districts Serving Newcastle

Newcastle is served by three public school districts: Bellevue, Issaquah, and Renton. Students attend schools based on their home address and assigned district boundaries. Each district provides pre-K–12 education and offers a variety of academic programs, extracurricular activities, and support services to meet the needs of students and families.

Bellevue School District

The Bellevue School District serves part of Newcastle and includes over 19,000 students across 28 schools. These schools include elementary, middle, and high schools, along with choice and online learning options. The district supports student learning from pre-K through 12th grade.

Issaquah School District

The Issaquah School District serves part of Newcastle and includes more than 18,500 students across 26 schools.These schools include elementary, middle, and high schools, along with specialized programs that support a range of student learning needs. The district provides learning opportunities from pre-K through 12th grade. Newcastle Elementary School is part of the Issaquah School District.

Renton School District

The Renton School District serves part of Newcastle and includes more than 15,000 students across 25 schools. These schools include elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as early learning and specialty programs. The district provides education and support services for students from pre-K through 12th grade. Hazelwood Elementary School and Risdon Middle School are part of the Renton School District.
