Agendas & Meetings

Most City of Newcastle meetings are open to the public. Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held at Newcastle City Hall, 12835 Newcastle Way, Suite 200, Newcastle, WA 98056.

Agendas and meeting materials are posted in advance on the City’s website. Public participation is encouraged, and opportunities for public comment are provided as noted on each meeting agenda.

City Council

The City Council meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

Council meetings include opportunities for public comment, discussion of city policies, and formal action on ordinances, resolutions, and contracts.

Planning Commission

The Planning Commission typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The Commission provides recommendations to the City Council on land use, zoning, and comprehensive planning matters.

Community Activities Commission

The Community Activities Commission (CAC) meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.

The CAC advises the Council on events, volunteer efforts, and community engagement initiatives.

Other Committees

In addition to the City’s standing commissions, the City Council has established subcommittees focused on specific areas, such as economic development and finance.

These subcommittees meet as needed and report their recommendations to the full City Council.
