Park Donations and Memorials

The City of Newcastle welcomes donations to support parks and other city-owned spaces. Donations can support the purchase of new or the refurbishment of existing park benches, tables, public art, plants, and trees. Contributions can commemorate a loved one, celebrate a special event, or simply give back to the community. Staff are happy to provide guidance throughout the donation process.

Application and Guidelines

Donation requests are reviewed by Public Works staff, with input from the Public Works Director and the Community Activities Commission as appropriate. For proposals with significant policy or financial impacts, the City Manager will provide a recommendation to the City Council for final approval.
