Veterans Day Weekend at Newcastle Cemetery is hosted by the Newcastle Historical Society and includes a community clean-up and restoration day, followed by an open house. Participants can help preserve the site and learn about Newcastle’s coal-mining history.

VOLUNTER EVENT: Saturday, November 7, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Join the cleanup and restoration effort. Volunteers will clear storm debris and invasive English ivy. Come for as little or as long as you’d like.

OPEN HOUSE: Wednesday, November 11, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
