The City of Newcastle’s mission and vision, adopted April 7, 2015 (Resolution 2015-611) and amended April 3, 2018 (Resolution 2018-732) and March 5, 2019 (Resolution 2019-782), guide the city’s work and its commitment to the community. Our mission is to serve the Newcastle Community in an effective, efficient, professional, friendly, and fiscally responsible manner that fosters a sense of community and assures equity, integrity, dignity, and respect.
Our Vision
Our guiding vision for the community is that of a diverse, safe, tolerant, and economically viable residential and business community, with its foundation in strong neighborhoods, family values, trust, respect for the natural environment, and an appreciation of its history.
