
About the Committee
The Finance Committee is an official committee of the City Council. It consists of three councilmembers assigned by the Mayor every two years. They meet monthly with the Finance Director, City Manager, and finance staff. The role of this supervisory committee is to provide oversight to the Finance Department, review monthly financial reports, approve smaller service or project contracts, and offer policy recommendations to the full City Council.
Current Members
Current members of the Finance Committee are Councilmembers Karin Frost Blakley, Tom Griffin, and Chris Villaseñor.
Meetings & Notices
The Finance Committee meets monthly, based on members’ availability. All meetings are noticed through the City’s website, including the agenda and any items planned for discussion or approval.
