The Newcastle City Council will hold a public hearing on revenue sources for the city’s proposed 2023 operating and capital budget, including consideration of possible increases in property tax revenue. The hearing will be held during the council’s regular meeting Tuesday, November 1, 2022. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
All interested persons are encouraged to attend and be heard concerning the funding sources for the 2023 budget. Written comments may be submitted by regular mail at 12835 Newcastle Way, Suite 200, Newcastle, Washington 98056 or by email to [email protected]. Written comment received by 4 p.m. on the date of the hearing will be distributed to the Council prior to the meeting. Those wishing to comment during the hearing but unable to attend in person may participate by Zoom video conference. The meeting ID is 859 8703 8797 and the passcode is 976499. The 2023 preliminary operating and capital budget for the City of Newcastle is on file with the Newcastle City Clerk and is available in its entirety on the city’s website to any taxpayer who wants to review it.
