The staircase on the CrossTown Trail is closed in Hazelwood Park due to disrepair and unsafe conditions. It will remain closed until the stringers in the staircase can be repaired. The City has hired a contractor to complete the work, and we do not yet have a known completion date.

Broken stairs were reported by two SeeClickFix users, and the staircase is now roped off at the top and bottom.

No one may pass through the closure area. An alternate route for trail users is to use park access trails west or east of the closure and utilize SE 73rd Place, to the north, if needed. (See the alternate route map below.)
