Councilmember Chris Villaseñor
Chris Villaseñor has been an active member of the Newcastle community for many years. He began his public service as a volunteer on the Planning Commission and was later appointed to the City Council in 2022. In 2025, he was elected by residents to continue his service, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the city.
A technology industry professional, Chris helps organizations navigate complex challenges and manage change, drawing on multiple perspectives to find effective solutions. On the City Council, he focuses on communication, public safety, and long-term fiscal planning, working to ensure Newcastle remains a thriving, welcoming community while preparing for future growth.
Beyond his professional work, Chris has a long-standing commitment to volunteering. He has dedicated more than 15 years to The First Tee of Greater Seattle, where he was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2020, and he regularly participates in local community events. He believes that giving back is at the heart of a strong, connected community and takes pride in contributing to the city he calls home.
