Festival Information & Location

Every September, we gather at Lake Boren Park for our annual community festival packed with activities, food, games, music, and fun for all ages. This signature Newcastle event falls in September because that's the month in 1994 when we officially became a city. Newcastle Days is a chance for folks to come together, honor our past, and celebrate the spirit of community today and into the future.

Join friends and neighbors this year as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary as the City of Newcastle!

Directions & Parking

Directions to Lake Boren Park:
(13058 SE 84th Way, Newcastle)
Take Exit 9 off I405 and follow Coal Creek Parkway south into Newcastle. Pass the lake on your right and take a right at the traffic light at SE 84th Way.

Main Parking Lot:
ADA parking only
drop-off area available
performer/vendor load in/load out

Waterline Parking:
Follow signs to the public parking area adjacent to the park on the right.

Plan Ahead!
Parking gets filled quickly midday. Consider carpooling or alternative options, such as parking downtown and walking, or taking the #240 bus. If you must park on neighborhood streets, DO NOT BLOCK driveways or fire hydrants.

10:30 a.m. Parade and Opening Ceremonies

11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Live Entertainment on Stage, Community Booths, Carnival Games, Giant Inflatables, and More

11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Food Vendors, Craft Beer & Wine Garden

5:30 - 7:00 p.m. The Fabulous Murphtones

Parade & Opening Ceremonies

Nothing kicks of a festival better than a community parade around the park! Enjoy the sights and sounds of local high school bands, cheer squads, and dance/drill teams. Cheer on community groups and our local Scouts.

Then, join us at the main stage for the opening ceremonies with an official welcome from the City.

Stage Entertainment

One of the truly unique aspects of Newcastle Days is the main stage entertainment. The schedule is jam-packed with performances from local students and community members. Be thrilled by the exciting moves of our local high school dance/drill teams. Enjoy the awesome beats of Japanese drums. Cheer on student rock bands, and more!

Activities

Newcastle Days is full of activities for all ages! Enjoy carnival games and giant inflatables, petting zoo and pony rides, robotics demonstrations and interactive junk chime, arts & crafts with Newcastle Arts Council and Newcastle Library, hands-on history with Newcastle Historical Society!

Cars on the Green Auto Show

Come early for the Cars on the Green auto show at Newcastle Days! From 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., check out oldies and goodies, classics and moderns, and everything in between.

Community Booths

A highlight of Newcastle Days are the community booths that include local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and artists/handcrafters.

Do you have a craft, product or information that you would like to showcase at Newcastle Days?

Connect with visitors and other businesses by hosting a community booth. With over 6,000 attendees in one day, you’ll increase your brand awareness while also reaching a diverse audience of potential customers and clients.

Food Vendors

A hallmark of Newcastle Days is the Craft Beer & Wine Garden hosted by the Greater Newcastle Chamber of Commerce.

We also offer a variety of food vendors featuring a variety of cuisines and menus.
