Newcastle Days 2018: Celebrate the Arts
Posted on 08/21/2018

Newcastle Days 2018 is going to be a great time to celebrate your creativity as well as that of our neighbors and community members through several events and activities sponsored by the Newcastle Arts Council. As part of the Newcastle Days, the Newcastle Arts Council, along with the Friends of the Newcastle Library, will host an exhibit showcasing artwork of community members of all ages. Please join us for the opening exhibit opening reception on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 7-9 p.m. at the Newcastle Library! The exhibit will be open during regular library hours and will be on display through Sept. 28.

During Newcastle Days on Sept. 8, everyone can get involved in exploring their creativity when the sidewalks of Lake Boren Park will come alive with color. We need your help though! Come by the Newcastle Arts Council booth and grab some chalk to leave your mark on the pathways. Everyone is welcome to participate. For those who do not want to get down on their hands and knees, we will be decorating fans at the booth to celebrate Newcastle’s great cultural diversity. Come join the Newcastle Arts Council in helping to celebrate the creativity of our neighbors and community members by participating in these great 2018 Newcastle Day events and activities.

Throughout the month of August, stay tuned to the City of Newcastle social media channels and newcastlewa.gov/newcastledays as the Community Activities Commission brings you more details, the official schedule, videos and articles about the 2018 Newcastle Days celebration!
