The City of Newcastle keeps residents informed of meetings, hearings, police emergencies and events through city website postings, e-mail alerts, social media, a quarterly e-newsletter and by working with local media.

Email notices are sent to people who have signed up to receive them. Sign up for police e-alerts, public meeting notices, news and updates or new employment postings on the sign up for notices web page. Current police e-alerts, meeting and legal notices and other information posted also are found online on this page.

View the City of Newcastle newsletters or community news found online. Some Councilmembers also communicate with their constituents through email newsletters and updates. Send a message to Councilmember Carol Simpson if you would like to receive news directly from her.

Although posts and comments are encouraged on City of Newcastle social media sites that allow posts, these sites are limited public forums and are moderated by City staff. All posted content (comments, photos, links, etc.) must be related to discussion of City programs, services, projects, issues, events and activities.
