Newcastle residents will have the opportunity to dispose of recyclable materials at a city-sponsored collection event Sept. 16, 2017.
Bring unwanted batteries, styrofoam, cardboard, motor oil and more to Hazelwood Elementary School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Certain types of household and hazardous wastes, such as house paint, pesticides, herbicides, cleaning products and fluorescent lights, will not be accepted.
Some items, including propane tanks and select appliances, can be recycled for a fee. See a full list of acceptable items and fees here.
Protect the environment and keep these items out of the landfill. Funding was provided by the State Department of Ecology Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance Program, the King County Solid Waste Division and the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program in King County
