Play and Learn Chinese
Tuesday, January 7, 14, 21 and 28, 10:30am
Newborn to age 5 with adult. Have fun singing songs, sharing books and stories, creating art and playing. This program is conducted primarily in Chinese but the facilitator is a bilingual English/Chinese speaker.

Japanese Story Times
Thursday, January 23 and 30, 10am
Family program, all ages welcome with adult. Stories, songs and fun!

Toddler Story Times
Monday, January 27, 10am and repeated at 11:15am
Ages 1 to 3 with adult. Stories, songs and fun! Playtime follows. Space is very limited. First come, first served.

Infant Story Time
Wednesday, January 29, 10am
Newborn to 12 months with adult. Stories, songs and fun! Playtime follows. Space is very limited. First come, first served.

Preschool Story Time
Wednesday, January 29, 11:15am
Ages 3 to 5 with adult. Stories, songs and fun! Playtime follows.

Code and Crowns with Mrs. World 2019
Saturday, January 25, 2pm
Ages 6 to 14. Learn to create a game in Scratch and celebrate your skills with a special crown from Mrs. World 2019, Jennifer Le. Space is limited. Free tickets available at the Information Desk 20 minutes before the program. Laptops provided.

Teens

Study Zone
Tuesday, January 7, 14, 21 and 28, 6:30-8:30pm
Grades K to 12. Drop-in for free homework help from trained volunteer tutors.

Kerbal Space Program Club
Wednesday, January 8, 6pm
Ages 10 to 17. Join fans of rockets, space travel and explosions in playing the award-winning computer game Kerbal Space Program!
Use one of the library's laptops or bring your own if you already play. Space is limited.

Better Cell Phone Photography
Thursday, January 16, 7pm
For adults and teens. Take striking photographs with your smart phone or tablet camera, using a few simple tools and techniques of pro photographers. Discover methods, DIY gadgets, apps and basic principles to become a proficient cell phone photographer. Bring your cell phone. It helps if you already know how to take a basic photo and share it online or with others.

Many of us have been there for parents and other loved ones as they have grown older. It is often through these experiences that we begin to recognize the wisdom of planning-ahead for our own health, legal considerations, financial concerns, housing and family issues as we age. This seminar with a Certified Care Manager will help you to draft a road map for anticipating and planning for your own aging journey.

AARP Homefit program leads participants through the process of thinking about the accessibility and livability of their home and whether it will meet their needs as they age. Gain insight on how to prevent falls and keep your home safe. Learn simple do-it-yourself modifications one can make such as placement of the microwave, ideal door handles, rug slips, and more. Join us for the workshop to learn how to live comfortably and injury free at home.
